VANUATU UPDATE
The disaster resulted in at least 14 confirmed deaths and over 200 injuries, with a seven-day state of emergency declared to facilitate rescue and recovery operations.
The damage was particularly concentrated in certain areas of Port Vila, causing the collapse of several buildings, landslides, and significant structural damage to a complex housing multiple Western embassies.
Fortunately for Titan FX, our head office in Port Vila was NOT among the damaged buildings, and everyone on our team is safe. Our trading platforms were not affected and our traders were not impacted.
“This disaster has taken lives, leaving families in mourning, injured dozens of people, and caused significant material losses for thousands of others. The challenges to recover will be costly and difficult”, Titan FX managing director Martin St-Hilaire shared on social media.
